Spices holds a number of events over the year to inspire its members and provide extra challenges. Over the Christmas season, we hold “The Twelve Days of Christmas Fitness” which is 12 consecutive days of fitness with a different class each day. Over Easter we usually run the “Spring Fling” for one week where members come to classes or train with a partner. The “Fitness and Fun Challenge” is a fun event where members come out to push themselves and see where their fitness levels are and to set goals for themselves. Since the goal of the SPICES Fitness team is to have a positive impact on others and the community, we regularly run Fundraisers for charities. We provide information about the charities and hope to share some insight into the needs and challenges that they incur. Some charities we have run are “Kick for a Cause” (for the Regina Humane Society), “New Year’s Day Fun Run or Walk” (for Animal Equals Fox Rescue), and “Halloween Howl” (for World Wildlife Federation). We are always planning upcoming fundraisers and suggestions that incorporate our skills and are in line with our vision. Some of the themes we run regularly each summer include “Ninja Extreme,” “It’s a Girl Thing,” “Gymnastics,” “Zumba Kids Around the World Trip,” “Sports Camp,” “Track Camp,” and “YogaKids.” Contact Bernadette for more information and to register your child for a summer camp to spice up their summer!
